Artists' Office

“Artists’ Office” is a cultural management course designed specifically for creators: performers, visual artists, live artists, collectives, or independent projects that need to learn how to manage their work while continuing to create. It’s not a course to turn you into a bureaucrat, but rather to understand how institutions, grants, artist residencies, budgets, contracts, copyright, communication, and production work… and to use all of that to your advantage. The idea is that you can design, finance, and sustain your projects without losing their artistic impact.

We'll work in a very practical way on real-world cases: how to prepare a portfolio that someone will actually want to read, how to submit a project to a grant application, how to successfully apply for grants and artist residencies, how to negotiate with venues and festivals, how to put together a viable budget, and how to communicate your work without resorting to empty self-promotion. "Artist's Office" is a space to ground your ideas, build survival skills within the cultural ecosystem, and learn to navigate it with greater autonomy, discernment, and passion.
