XM2 Action

Living art per square meter

Acción XM2 is a simultaneous performance piece in which 20 artists each activate a one-square-meter space. Within this minimal area, participatory, playful, everyday, or protest actions unfold over two hours, creating a landscape of micro-scenes where the public moves freely, chooses its own path, and experiences art in an intimate and surprising way.

Born at La Juan Gallery, Action XM2 has established itself as one of its emblematic projects thanks to a format that is as simple as it is flexible, capable of adapting to very diverse contexts without losing its premise: living art per square meter.

The project has traveled to national and international institutions and festivals such as the Cervantes Institute in London (in collaboration with Central Saint Martins), the Cervantes Institute in Manchester, Teatros del Canal in Madrid —within the Canal Performance cycle—, the Territori Festival in Ibiza, the TAC Festival in Valladolid or the FLORA Festival in Córdoba, where it was structured around the use of flowers and plant material in the Baroque Courtyard of the Provincial Council.

Acción XM2 brings performance art to audiences of all ages in a direct and accessible way, turning every space into a live art gallery in real time.
